Me? Well, I am a 46 year old, native southern Californian. I am married with 2 wonderful children. I was saved and baptised by immersion in 1986.
I have been on a long journey since my salvation. Sometimes thinking I could do it alone. I have been involved in a couple of churches since then, but I have done a lot of careful and prayerful study over the last year. I have found that Independent Fundamental Baptists is what my conservative nature and Biblical world view fits best.
I have been attending a great, Bible believing and teaching church since the early part of this year (2005). I have always believed that one should find a church that they fit into, not try to make the church fit them. I have found that church.
Although baptised by immersion in 1986, I have come to mind that my baptism was not Biblical in the sense that the church I was baptised in does not stand on the same doctrines I do now. For this reason myself, my wife and our 2 daqughters were baptised in our Fundamental Baptist church, November 2006.
As of February of this year (2007) I have been the Youth (12-17) Ministry Leader at my church. I teach the youth Sunday School class as well as (with my wife's assistance as activities co-ordinator) take our youth on monthly fellowship (and hopefully) educational outings.
I try very hard to live a life that is pleasing to God. I am not perfect and do not meet that goal a lot of the time, but I have Jesus in my heart and I am sure of my salvation. Are you? Please come to Christ now. Eternity awaits.
Praise God and God Bless you.
Brother Mike
