Please, come take a trip with me. It is a voyage that will lead to eternity (A good one, or a bad one. It is your choice). It is a narrow road to travel (Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. KJV), but there will be others there, unfortunately, not as many as there could be.
The road we will travel, can be found in the Bible (the King James, of course). In the book of Romans. It is called:
The Romans Road to Salvation
We will be studying several verses from the book of Romans, in the New Testament. The verses will deal with the subject of salvation. By the time we conclude our study, I hope that you will have made up your mind, and get on your knees and believe and pray to Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and come into your heart. Listen to the Spirit and follow him, turn away from your sins (repent). God Bless you.
All verses come from the King James Version of The Holy Bible.
The first place we come to:
Rom 3:10: As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one
This seems fairly simple, none of us are good. We don't have it in ourselves to be good.
At our next stop, the message comes even more bluntly:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
All of us, yes, all of us have sinned. We have a sin nature (where that comes from we will see later). You, me, my Pastor, wife, children, are all sinners. We do not come close to God's glory.
We come down the road a bit. Our next stop tells us:
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned
Sin comes to our nature by Adam. When Adam went against the instruction of God, not to eat of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, we inherited that sin. Even though Eve was the one beguiled by Satan, sin follows us through Adams lineage. We have because of Adam, the "sin nature". It is in a person's nature to sin, and we do. We also have the means to overcome that sin nature. Before we go there though, we must discover what the cost of that sin is.
As we travel our Romans Road, we come around a dark bend and discover what the price of sin is:
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Yes, death. Did Adam keel over and die when he took that bite? No, hardly, but spiritually we died to God. We became beings who go against the desires of our Creator. And, if left in that state, we will spend eternity away from him, and in a terrible place. This verse also gives us a hope. The mention of a gift. Let us continue on and learn more about this gift.
Our fifth stop in out travels brings us to:
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Here we find, that even though we be sinners, God still loves us. We do not have to be perfect, or saved, God loves us, just as we are RIGHT NOW!! What a wonderful God. Because of that love, while we were still undeserving, God gave us a gift. That gift is Jesus Christ. Jesus came down from heaven, took our sins into His cup and drank of it, and relieved us, if we believe, of the death to God that sin brings. Jesus paid the toll on this road for us.
We are getting close to the end of our travels. Let us see what our next stop will bring us:
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Here we have it, our out from sin. God gave us a way, one way, to get ourselves out of the mess of sin that we are in. That way, is to believe and trust in Jesus Christ. To believe God sent him. That he died for us and was resurrected from the dead and profess these things. You must be sincere, and truly believe these things, in your heart.
Now we come to the last stop in our journey:
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
This is it. This is how to claim the gift that God has given. Claim that gift now.
Dear friend. We have come to the end of our journey down a road. A road to salvation. After reading the above, examine your heart. Read again what sin has done to our relationship with God. Read again how to cleanse yourselves through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. If this is how you believe, do the following:
Pray. Get down on your knees and pray to God from your heart:
1) Acknowledge that you are a sinner.
2) Acknowledge that Jesus died for your sins on the cross
3) Acknowledge that Jesus awoke from the dead.
4) Ask Jesus into your life, ask him to be your Lord and Saviour. Ask forgiveness of your sins.
5) Know now that you have eternal life. Thank Jesus for this wonderful gift.
Dear brother or sister in Christ. Welcome to God's family. You are now a new creation (2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.) You have claimed your gift.
Your salvation is complete. There is nothing else you need, or can, do to assure your salvation (Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.) What you do need to do is grow in Christ. You will need a good Bible, King James Version, of course. Read your Bible. DAILY. Keep communicating with your Saviour. Pray. Daily. You can pray on your knees. Laying down in bed. Driving the car. PRAY. When the Holy Spirit comes into you, you will know the desire to repent, or turn away, from your sins. The Holy Spirit will give you what you need to succeed. Find yourself a good Fundamental, Bible Believing Church to attend. Show the world what God has done to your life.

God Bless you, Child in Christ.
